Way too early 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Championship odds
With the end of the season just a few days behind us, it’s time to start thinking about the NASCAR Championship odds for 2024. Of course, it’s way too early, but it is very interesting to see what the bookmakers are thinking a year out from next year’s championship.
2024 is going to be a big year for NASCAR. Final year of the current TV deal, working around the Olympics, adding new tracks and a new schedule, the third year of the Next Gen car, and the old generation is officially out now. It just feels like it could be a major season and a major turning point in the sport’s history.
The NASCAR Cup Series championship odds for 2024 look a lot like this year’s odds if you ask me. And Ryan Blaney isn’t getting any love for a repeat championship run next season.
2024 NASCAR Championship odds:
Kyle Larson 5-1
William Byron 6-1
Martin Truex Jr. 8-1
Denny Hamlin 8-1
Ryan Blaney 10-1
Christopher Bell 10-1
Tyler Reddick 14-1
Kyle Busch 14-1
Ross Chastain 14-1
Chase Elliott 14-1
Chris Buescher 18-1
Joey Logano 18-1
Brad Keselowski 22-1
Ty Gibbs 22-1
Bubba Wallace 50-1
Alex Bowman 50-1
2024 NASCAR Championship odds:
Daniel Suárez 50-1
Josh Berry 50-1
Chase Briscoe 60-1
John Hunter Nemechek 80-1
Michael McDowell 150-1
Daniel Hemric 150-1
Carson Hocevar 150-1
Zane Smith 150-1
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. 200-1
Austin Dillon 200-1
Erik Jones 200-1
Austin Cindric 200-1
Ryan Preece 200-1
Justin Haley 250-1
Harrison Burton 500-1
Corey LaJoie 500-1
Todd Gilliland 500-1
The NASCAR odds once again think Kyle Larson is the man to beat. He has so much talent, but to be truly dominant, he will need fewer DNFs in 2024.
Interesting notes about 2024 NASCAR odds
We should take a lot of this with a grain of salt. There were nine full-time drivers that won races in 2022 that failed to win races in 2023. NASCAR has comers and goers. Ford has a new car coming – a lot can change. However, seeing Larson and William Byron at the top of the championship odds… I think that’s right.

Some thoughts that I have – Chase Elliott is too low. He’s coming off a season that was unconventional, to say the least. I’d put him into the 10-1 odds group, to be honest. Another surprise, Ty Gibbs at 22-1 odds. He’s the Rookie of the Year for 2023, but he didn’t win a race. Then there is a big drop from him to Bubba Wallace.
According to these numbers, Josh Berry is expected to be the top rookie. It’s going to be a really exciting race for ROY in 2024 with Berry, Hocevar, and Zane Smith. John Hunter Nemechek won’t be a rookie, but returns to the Cup Series as a young driver to keep an eye on.
The NASCAR odds don’t think so, but I believe Ryan Blaney has a good chance at a repeat. It feels like he was just coming into his own to finish the season. Maybe he carries that momentum into next year and has the regular season performance everyone is expecting him to have.
