This week a new streaming service was announced that will bring Fox, Warner Bros. Discovery and Disney sports programming together. It means a lot of sports all in one place, and that includes NASCAR. Ahead of the 2025 media deal, the new streamer is going to reshape how fans watch sports.

Focusing just on NASCAR, and a little on motorsports in general, this is a service fans may want to get in 2025. There is no release date on the service, but it will come out in 2024.

If it comes out after June 9, then it won’t really matter. The NASCAR season will air on NBC at that point, which is not included in the new service.

Looking ahead to next year, FOX is going to host the first 14 races of the season. Then, Warner Bros. Discovery, through TNT and Bleacher Report on Max, will air the next five races. Don’t forget every Truck Series race is on FOX or FS1/FS2, so that will be on the new service as well.

This means the first half of the Cup Series season, including practice and qualifying, will be on this singular sports streaming service. Then, five races will air on Prime Video with NBC picking up the final 14 races of the season.

So, NASCAR fans can embrace streaming, and for $40-$50 a month, can get the first half of the season, plus the entire Truck Series season. They will also need Prime Video for $14.99 a month, and cable (another $50-$100 a month) to get all of the NBC races. Not to mention, the Xfinity Series is on regular TV, The CW.

What sounds like a simpler plan, ends up looking very complicated when you lay it all out.

NASCAR is coming to streaming whether fans like it or not

Sports are going on streamers more and more. NASCAR streaming was bound to happen. I think getting the entire Truck Series and half of the Cup Series on one streaming service is good. It could be better.

NASCAR fans are going to have options in 2025. Clearly, there is value in the sport still. A new $7.7B TV deal is going to help boost the profile of NASCAR and hopefully, pull in new fans.

Of course, the real point of this streaming service is for sports fans of all kinds. If you like to watch more than just racing, then this service becomes an obvious solution to your issues. The college sports alone make it worth the monthly charge.

However, for those who just enjoy racing, it might not be the best deal. No matter what, NASCAR fans are going to have to get at least one or two streaming services to watch every race in 2025 and beyond. Whether that is Prime Video or the new streaming service, it will be a necessity.
