Will Levis injury update: Adam Schefter reveals diagnosis, recovery timeline for Titans QB
Titans QB Will Levis is dealing with a grade 2 AC sprain in his right shoulder and could be sidelined beyond Sunday’s game at Buffalo, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This is considered a four-to-five week injury. Levis has played through injuries in the past, but this one will be week-to-week.
Levis has been turnover prone this year with the Titans, completing 66.4% of his passes for 699 passing yards, while tossing in five touchdowns with seven interceptions. Patience is running thin within the Titans’ franchise, and star receiver Calvin Ridley was furious with Levis after their last game.
According to NextGenStats tracking, Ridley had eight targets on 21 routes, for a total of 145 targeted air yards. This is the first time in Titans/Oilers franchise history that a player had 8 or more targets and zero catches and zero receiving yards in a game. It’s only the 13th time in NFL history that a player has had such a game.

His first year in the league, Levis got off to a hot start in the NFL. He completed 58.4% of his passes for 1,808 passing yards, while tossing in eight touchdowns with four interceptions. Levis put up those numbers in just nine games of action, getting the Titans to hand over the keys to him as the starting quarterback in his second year.
But opposing defensive coordinators had several months to lock in and study tape on Levis and figure out his weaknesses/strengths as a quarterback. And he’s had a much tougher time this season, turning the ball over at a much higher rate. He’s made some baffling throws that have left Titans fans shaking their heads. Not only will he need to get healthy, but he’ll also have to play much, much better. Or else he won’t be the starting quarterback for Tennessee for much longer.
