Philadelphia Eagles rooking running back Will Shipley has dreamed of playing in a Super Bowl since he was a kid. Now, in his first year in the NFL, he is getting an opportunity to do just that.

Shipley and the Eagles clinched a spot in the Super Bowl on Sunday, pounding the Commanders 55-23 in the NFC Championship Game. The former Clemson star scored his first career NFL touchdown in the victory and also forced a fumble. Shipley joined Good Morning America on Monday and described his emotions after helping the Eagles to the Super Bowl.

“Oh, it’s crazy, you know. So many emotions come with it. It’s been a dream of mine since I knew what football was.” Will Shipley said. “So to actually be here and be going down to New Orleans in a couple of weeks and to actually have an opportunity to do so is just unbelievable.”

Will Shipley was drafted in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft after starring as a running back and returner for the Tigers. He has been a key special teams contributor for the Eagles all season, while also getting some opportunities out of the backfield.

Shipley had 30 carries for 82 yards during the regular season but had four carries for 77 yards and a touchdown on Sunday against the Commanders. Up next, he will try to help the Eagles win their first Super Bowl since 2018.

The Eagles also played the Chiefs in the 2023 Super Bowl, falling 38-35 in Arizona.

“Oh, I’m so excited. It’s been a dream of mine since I started playing ball, and now, 15 years later, I’m getting the opportunity to go out there and actually play in a Super Bowl in my rookie year,” Will Shipley said. “I’m still kind of taking it all in and letting the emotions come in. But I’m just so blessed and I can’t wait to get one more with the guys, compete with my teammates, and just go out there and have fun, too.”

Philadelphia Eagles rookie running back Will Shipley picked an excellent time for his first NFL touchdown. The former Clemson star scored on a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter against the Commanders to cap off a dominant win for the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game.

Will Shipley had four carries for 77 yards in the win and also forced a fumble on special teams. He joined Good Morning America on Monday to discuss a number of topics, including his first NFL touchdown.

“Yea, it was, gah, it’s just a dream come true,” Will Shipley said. “And to do it in the NFC Championship with my teammates and guys that I love, and you know, you see Saquon right there come grab me and celebrate.

“That’s someone that I look up to, someone that has taken me under his wing since I got drafted to this organization. And just couldn’t be more thankful, couldn’t be more blessed.”
