Philadelphia Eagles running back Will Shipley scored his first career touchdown in the NFC Championship, putting the Eagles up 55-23 in the fourth quarter.

Saquon Barkley, who ran for 118 yards and three touchdowns, gave a great reaction on the sideline. With the Eagles pulling away, Shipley got his chance and ran four times for 77 yards on the drive, capping it off with a touchdown.

You can see the score and Barkley’s reaction below.

Will Shipley scores first TD in NFC Championship

Shipley was a fourth round pick out of Clemson in the 2024 NFL Draft after a great career with the Tigers. He ran for 2,748 yards, 31 touchdowns, 5.2 yards per carry, had 85 catches, 602 receiving yards and two touchdown receptions.

As a member of the Class of 2021, Shipley was a four-star recruit out of Matthews (N.C.) Weddington, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 2 overall prospect in the state, the No. 3 running back in the class and the No. 36 overall prospect in the class.

With the 55-23 win, the Eagles advanced to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, where they will await the winner of the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship.

Shipley could see an increase in offensive carries to spare Barkley considering the Eagles lost backup running back Kenny Gainwell to a concussion during the game Sunday.

If Shipley is the guy behind Barkley, he certainly showcased his abilities down the stretch against the Commanders.
