Iowa and Wisconsin will prepare to renew their Heartland Trophy rivalry in Week 10. The two teams will square off at Kinnick Stadium as November quickly approaches, and the early point spread has been released.

Iowa opened as 3.5-point favorites over Wisconsin in the matchup, according to FanDuel. The over-under also opened at 42.5 points.

Iowa is coming off a big win over Northwestern in Week 9. The offense broke out en route to a resounding 40-14 victory at home. However, the big conversation is about the quarterback position after Cade McNamara got benched and Brendan Sullivan closed out the game for the Hawkeyes.

As for Wisconsin, the Badgers started to find a groove during Luke Fickell’s second season as head coach. After blowing a lead against USC in a 38-21 loss, UW rattled off three straight wins entering Week 9, setting up an intriguing matchup against Penn State at Camp Randall Stadium.

Location: Kinnick Stadium, Iowa City, Iowa

All eyes will be on Iowa’s quarterback plan heading into the rivalry against Wisconsin. Cade McNamara completed 7 of 13 passes for 73 yards against Northwestern, but a costly pick-six led Kirk Ferentz to make a change and bring in Brendan Sullivan. After the switch, Iowa scored 37 points – two of which were scored by the defense when the Hawkeyes sacked Jack Lausch in the end zone for a safety.

Iowa has won three of the last four matchups against Wisconsin in the Heartland Trophy rivalry, including each of the last two years. The Badgers hold the all-time lead in the series, though, with a 49-46-2 record against the Hawkeyes dating back to 1906. The two teams have played every year since 2013, when the Big Ten’s divisional setup interrupted the series.
