Los Angeles Sparks rookie forward Cameron Brink announced Monday her engagement to boyfriend Ben Felter in Paris.

“Yes in every lifetime,” Brink captioned her Instagram post.

Felter, Brink’s boyfriend for nearly four years, dropped down to one knee at the Shangri-La Paris Hotel in front of the Eiffel Tower. Brink had just attended the Balenciaga show and had no idea Felter would be in Paris, according to People.com.

The couple first met at Stanford, where Brink was a star for the women’s basketball team and won a national championship in 2021, while Felter was a member of the rowing team. Felter was a two-time IRCA scholar-athlete at Stanford and now works at the Defense Innovative Unit as a part-time portfolio analyst.

Cameron Brink recovering from ACL tear in rookie season

Brink was the second overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Sparks. She suited up in 15 games during her rookie season before suffering a torn ACL in her left knee in a June 18 game against the Connecticut Sun. Brink posted averages of 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.

“You never think it will happen to you,” Brink wrote in an Instagram post at the time. “And despite all the hard work sometimes it does. This is hard to fathom but I know it will only make me stronger. I will not be derailed and I will continue to love this life — I’m not defined by basketball, but it is something that I love deeply and I will work everyday to get back to it. It’s not goodbye basketball it’s just a see you later. I’m always so thankful for your thoughts and prayers.”
