YouTube is making a change to its NFL Sunday Ticket package. Previously, subscribers had to pay for the entire package upfront. The package costs $378 per year for YouTube TV subscribers and $480 per year for non-subscribers.

However, now, subscribers will be able to pay for the NFL Sunday Ticket package in monthly payments. Alas, subscribers still won’t be able to pay for just a couple of months and then cancel the membership.

The new option allows subscribers to pay monthly if they can’t afford to pay for the package upfront, but it locks them into a 12-month payment. YouTube TV subscribers will have the option to pay $31.50 a month, while non-subscribers would pay $40 a month.

“If you purchase NFL Sunday Ticket through a monthly payment plan, you’ll be charged your first payment at the time of purchase, and you won’t be able to cancel your membership for the season you purchased,” YouTube’s NFL Sunday Ticket pricing page reads. “You will be automatically charged on a monthly basis for all remaining payments due for that season.”

The option to pay monthly instead of one lump sum isn’t available in Colorado, Maine, Utah, Vermont, and Wisconsin. Additionally, this option isn’t available in U.S. territories.

While this change might draw in some customers who couldn’t afford to pay the annual price all at once, it still doesn’t address many of the requests from subscribers. Specifically, NFL fans have requested YouTube to provide packages for single teams or, as mentioned earlier, not lock in customers for a full year.

“NFL Sunday Ticket is a premium out-of-market sports package that broadcasts all out-of-market regular season Sunday National Football League games not available on your local broadcast in your area (NBC, CBS or FOX affiliate). NFLST excludes digital only games,” according to YouTube. “For example, if you’re a Dallas Cowboys fan but live in Miami, you’d be able to watch all of the Sunday Cowboys games that aren’t shown on NBC, CBS or FOX in your local market.”

Fans can also add additional options such as NFL Redzone to their Sunday NFL Ticket package for an additional cost. NFL Sunday Ticket is exclusively on YouTube TV and YouTube Primetime Channels.
