Zach Frazier injury: Steelers OL exits game, taken to locker room
Pittsburgh Steelers center Zach Frazier suffered an apparent left leg injury in a game against the Las Vegas Raiders, having to go to the locker room to receive further medical attention.
Frazier was injured while blocking on a play in the third quarter. He was engaged with a Raiders defender when he was rolled up on from behind by defensive end Tyree Wilson.
Wilson landed on Zach Frazier’s lower left leg, which buckled under the weight.
Frazier was then tended to by trainers before heading off the field and eventually into the locker room. His injury will complicate an already dicey situation for Pittsburgh up front.
The talented rookie would be replaced by Ryan McCollum, who has one NFL start in his career and has primarily been a practice squad player.
Pittsburgh led Las Vegas 22-7 at the time of this writing.
Pittsburgh dealing with several injuries
The Steelers were dealing with several injuries in addition to Zach Frazier’s on Sunday against the Raiders. Seven players were on the team’s inactive list on Sunday.

On the flip side, quarterback Russell Wilson was active for the first time all season long.
Wilson had been sidelined for the first five games, nursing a calf injury he initially sustained on the eve of training camp. He reaggravated the injury days before the season opener and had been a limited participant in practice since. Wilson was a full participant in practice this week and believed he’d have no problem getting up to speed.
“I’ve been getting all the reps,” Wilson said Thursday. “It’s not like I haven’t been out there. I’ve gotten a lot of reps overall this time and everything else and I feel really confident with our guys, who we are. You guys saw some of the plays guys are making, just a lot of good things and so I feel confident about that, and I’m not worried about that part.”
