Zane Smith adds Focused Health to sponsor lineup for 20 Cup Series races

As we get closer to the start of the season, Trackhouse Racing and Spire Motorsports are adding sponsors for Zane Smith. Smith, who is under contract with Trackhouse but driving for Spire this NASCAR season, will be sponsored by Focused Health.

Focused Health is going to be on the No. 71 car for 20 races this Cup Series season. We will also see Smith drive with the Ambetter Health colors. Sponsorship is a big deal and the 71 team seems to be full of sponsors for the 2024 season.

Zane Smith and Trackhouse Racing made the announcement on Friday morning.

Focused Health is a national health insurance agency. A little bit of a healthcare theme for Smith this season.

“This partnership with Focused Health is incredibly important to me, Spire Motorsports and Trackhouse Racing,” said Smith, via a press release. “It will be my job this year to bring awareness to the government supported health insurance programs available to our fans. These programs are both primary and supplemental, and Focused Health will educate those in need and introduce them to the programs readily available.”

Zane Smith is going into his rookie season in the Cup Series. He had a number of limited starts last season with Front Row Motorsports. He will have his fair share of races this season as he attempts to beat out Carson Hocevar and Josh Berry for Rookie of the Year.

Focused Health will debut with Zane at this year’s Busch Light Clash.

The 2022 Truck Series champion is going to go into the deep end this season. The good news is that Smith is a talented driver with championship history. However, the Cup Series is a whole different beast.

When it comes to the Rookie of the Year battle, Smith will be very familiar with one of his rivals, Carson Hocevar. Hocevar is coming out of the Truck Series as well to move up to the Cup Series. Hocevar will be a Spire teammate for Smith this season.

Looking back on Zane Smith’s Cup Series history, he has some solid finishes in the biggest races of the year. P13 in the Daytona 500 a year ago, although that was a mess at the end of the race.

The one race I look at as his best performance is his P10 finish in the Coca-Cola 600. When you can outlast Cup Series drivers and teams in one of the most grueling races of the year, you have the right stuff. A top-10 in Charlotte is just a glimpse of what we are likely to see from Smith this season.
