Baltimore Ravens receiver Zay Flowers has been taken to the locker room after suffering an apparent knee injury against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday. Flowers went down after colliding with another player around the 12-minute mark in the second quarter and was seen grabbing at his right knee.

He was helped to the locker room a few moments after and will have team doctors take a closer look at what happened to determine the severity. He is currently considered questionable to return, according to the ABC broadcast.

David Chao, a former head team physician for the Chargers, posted video of the injury to Flowers on X, adding that he didn’t see anything that makes him think the injury is significant. You can view the play below.

Flowers had just one catch for nine yards on the afternoon prior to leaving the game with injury. The Ravens held a 14-0 lead at the time but Cleveland has since kicked a field goal to make it 14-3 with 2:50 remaining until halftime.

The second-year receiver out of Boston College leads the Ravens this season with 73 catches for 1,047 yards and four touchdowns. Even if he can’t come back for the remainder of this game, Baltimore will hope that the injury isn’t one that prevents him from playing in the postseason.

Flowers was selected No. 22 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft and also led the Ravens in receiving yards as a rookie with 858. He’s become a focal point of their offense in his short time and has been a pivotal part of their success this season.

The Ravens currently sit at 11-5 on the season and have already clinched a playoff berth, but can claim the AFC North division title with a victory against the Browns.

Zay Flowers ruled out, Ravens go on to dominant win

Flowers would later be ruled out the rest of the game, but Baltimore still went on to a 35-10 victory to clinch the division title. With that, the Ravens have also locked up the No. 3 seed in the AFC.

The wild card round of the playoffs is set to begin next week so Flower’s health will be worth monitoring heading into that game. The receiver is set to have an MRI on Monday to get the injury checked out further.
