Zay Flowers injury update: Ravens WR status revealed ahead of playoff game vs. Bills
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers‘ injury status has been revealed ahead of Sunday’s playoff game against the Buffalo Bills. Flowers did not practice on Wednesday, and Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network said he has an “outside chance” to play on Sunday.
Flowers missed the Wild Card playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers this past weekend due to a knee injury. While speaking to reporters on Monday, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said Flowers could play without practicing.
“That’s in will-see mode, he’s working hard to get back,” Harbaugh said. “We’ll see toward the end of the week if he’s practicing, and he could play without practicing for sure if he feels healthy enough and if it’s safe for him.”
Flowers didn’t practice last week after suffering his injury in the final game of the regular season. He finished the year with 74 receptions for 1,059 yards and was named to the Pro Bowl.
Lamar Jackson on what he likes about Zay Flowers
“He’s so explosive with how he gets out of his routes,” Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson said before the start of the 2024 season, per the Raven’s official website. “He can have an out-breaking route and a guy have him outside leverage. Usually, you would move on from a receiver knowing that corner is outside leverage, but with him, he still has a chance to win. So sometimes I hang on a little bit because I know he’s going to win.”

“I’ve got more experience under my belt,” Flowers said. “I’ve been through ups and downs. I think I’ll be able to control things better after the things I went through last year.
“I felt like I was playing my best football toward the end of last year. As the season went on, I was learning more about how to get open, how to run my routes to get open faster. I’d say the last seven games of the season, that’s when things started to come together. That’s what I’m bringing to this season from the start.”
The Ravens selected Flowers at No. 22 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. During his rookie season, the former Boston College star caught 77 passes for 858 tards and five touchdowns.
