Zeigler Auto Group will sponsor Carson Hocevar for nine races in 2024 rookie season
Spire Motorsports and Carson Hocevar are teaming up with Zeigler Auto Group. The Michigan driver paired with a Michigan business. The No. 77 car will have the black and yellow of Zeigler nine times in the rookie NASCAR Cup Series effort for Hocevar.
Carson Hocevar is one of the most talented young drivers in NASCAR. There is a reason he was picked to replace Noah Gragson for the most part at the end of the season. Legacy Motor Club liked him, but he’s a Chevy driver.
So, Hocevar is now with Spire and the 77 team. It feels like he could be the man to beat for Rookie of the Year in 2024. With Zeigler, he will try his best to live up to expectations.
The nine races will break down into seven races as the primary and two as co-primary sponsors for the Daytona 500 and at Michigan. So, Hocevar will have a split sponsor car at least twice in 2024. Zeigler Auto Group is ready to put its support behind this team.
“We are excited to partner once again with Spire Motorsports for 2024. We know Carson will do a phenomenal job representing Zeigler Auto Group on and off the track. Having Carson behind the wheel of the new Zeigler.com No. 77 Camaro was a perfect fit with him being from Michigan, our home state for Zeigler,” said the president and CEO of the auto group, Aaron J. Zeigler.
Last season, Zeigler was a sponsor of Live Fast Motorsports No. 78 car. Spire bought that charter and kept the sponsorship, it appears. Another great move for Spire as they shore up their 2024 plans.
Zeigler will be the primary sponsor of the 77 car for Talladega, Charlotte, World Wide Technology Raceway, Nashville, Chicago, Indianapolis, and Homestead.

Carson Hocevar prepared for rookie season
While there have been some questions about Carson Hocevar’s maturity, his skills behind the wheel have gotten him this far. Now, he has to take that talent and harness it. But it is still important to remember he’s still 20 years old.
For Hocevar, he’s just now taking it all in.
“It’s pretty exciting to be able to partner with Zeigler Auto Group and be able to show some hometown pride in 2024,” Hocevar said. “It’s a dream come true for a kid from Michigan to be supported and sponsored by a company from Kalamazoo. I grew up in Portage, just a few miles south of Zeigler’s headquarters, so that makes the partnership personal. I can’t thank Aaron Zeigler enough for the opportunity and for taking a chance on me. We’re going to do our very best to make Zeigler proud.”
When Carson Hocevar took over in the Legacy Motor Club car, he performed very well. Compared to how Noah Gragson and others did in that car, Hocevar was by far the best in the 42.
Chevy hasn’t changed anything with their Cup car this year. Ford and Toyota have made changes. But that means Hocevar doesn’t have to expect anything different from his starts in the Cup Series this past season.
