ZYN nicotine pouches sent a message to Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield after seeing him use its product during the Monday Night football game against the Baltimore Ravens. In a statement, Swedish Match, the company that manufactures ZYN, said it had an issue with Mayfield using the pouches on national television.

“Swedish Match appreciates its loyal consumers and encourages them not to show the product in any situation where someone under 21 years old could see it,” a ZYN spokesperson told TMZ Sports. “The product is marketed only to current nicotine consumers 21 years old and over as a better alternative to continued smoking and other traditional tobacco products.”

The NFL policy states that players can’t use alcohol or tobacco products on the playing field and during interviews. ZYN is likely included as it features powdered nicotine. The league not Mayfield has not commented on the situation as of this writing.

Mayfield was using ZYN as the Buccaneers lost to the Ravens 41-31. In the loss, the former Oklahoma Sooners star threw for 370 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.

“Yeah, wind kind of got taken out of our sails at that point,” Mayfield said after the game, per the Buccaneers official website. “Any time you’re in the red zone, have a turnover, obviously can’t do that. Marlon Humphrey made a good play falling off it, but I got to be careful with it down there knowing we already have points. Yeah, that really was the swing of the game and they the got ball and went down and scored. Yeah, that was a big momentum shift in the game.”

To make matters worse, wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin suffered injuries on Monday night. Evans is dealing with a hamstring injury and could miss a few weeks. Godwin suffered a dislocated ankle and could miss the rest of the season.

“It just absolutely sucks. It sucks for our team, but Chris deserves better than that. He’s an unbelievable guy, unbelievable teammate, he’s been playing extraordinarily this year. I’ve got a heavy heart right now,” Mayfield said, per Pro Football Talk. “I don’t know what we’re going to do but have some guys step up, but thoughts and prayers with Chris and his family right now.”
