2026 DL Viliami Moala decommits from Oregon

Eugene (Ore.) Willamette three-star defensive lineman Viliami Moala has decommitted from Oregon, he announced on Monday.
He was pledged to the Ducks since Oct. 14, when he flipped from USC. Moala also announced that he’ll be transferring to Thompson High School in Alabaster, Ala. for his senior season.
“First and foremost I wanna thank God for giving me the strength to make this decision. Second I would like to thank The University of Oregon for everything that they have done for me and my family and all of the people of Eugene! With that being said I would like to announce that I am decommitting from the University Of Oregon,” Moala wrote in a post on X. “I would also like to announce that I am transferring from Willamette High School in Eugene to Thompson High School in Alabaster Alabama.”
Moala is the No. 547 overall prospect and No. 58 DL in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He was also the No. 3 player in Oregon.
The 6-foot-2.5, 340-pounder had just transferred to Willamette High in Eugene this spring. He’s also had stops at Davis High (Utah), Brighton High (Utah) and Cactus High (Ariz.) throughout his prep career.

With Moala no longer pledged, Oregon is back down to 13 commits in its 2026 class. The Ducks check in at No. 8 in the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and still hold a pledge from Willamette four-star defensive lineman Tony Cumberland.
Oregon’s class is headlined by a pair of five-stars in Baltimore Georgetown Prep Five-Star Plus+ offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho and Las Vegas Bishop Gorman five-star safety Jett Washington. Eight of the commits in the class are top-150 overall prospects to date.
Moala was one of the longest-tenured commits in the class. The Ducks now have three commitments on the offensive line this cycle: Iheanacho, Sacramento Archbishop Riordan four-star IOL Tommy Tofi and Honolulu (Hi.) Farrington three-star IOL Koloi Keli.
