Kamauri Dorsey, one of the nation’s top overall prospects in the 2027 class, is ready to make his college commitment.

Dorsey told Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett on Wednesday that he will make his choice on November 1, choosing between Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Tennessee, LSU, Ohio State and Texas A&M.

The Hampton (Ga.) star is the No. 46 overall prospect and No. 5 safety in the 2027 class, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services.

Rivals, however, is quite a bit higher on him than the other two companies. In the most recent Rivals300 rankings, he was tabbed as the country’s No. 12 recruit and No. 1 safety.

With a little more than two weeks to go until Dorsey’s decision, Texas A&M is the school trending in the Rivals Prediction Machine (RPM). On Wednesday, shortly after the news broke of Dorsey’s decision date, Aggies insider Jaxson Callaway logged a pick in favor of Mike Elko and Co.

“While there is still some time remaining before a decision for the nation’s No. 12 overall player, we’ve started to like where Texas A&M stands,” Callaway wrote. ” … The Aggies’ push to stockpile elite talent in the secondary shows no signs of slowing down, and I’m officially entering a pick in favor of the maroon and white for Dorsey — just a day after doing the same for five-star cornerback John Meredith and four-star safety Jayquan Snell.”

Dorsey raved about his recent visit to College Station, telling Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong it was his best trip yet.

“My visit at Texas A&M was the best visit I”ve been on so far for sure,” Dorsey said. “What excites me about them is everything. I love their culture, their coaches, and their players for sure. Everything stood out in every way and everything you would look for in  a college. I love what they are doing and what they are building over there for sure.”

As a junior this fall, Dorsey has racked up 40 tackles and a trio of interceptions. On offense, he’s been equally as electric with 708 all-purpose yards and nine touchdowns.
