Akron (Ohio) Walsh Jesuit four-star receiver Milan Parris announced his commitment to Miami on Tuesday evening.

The Rivals300 recruit was in Coral Gables over the weekend. The official visit was highlighted by the victory over Stanford.

“It was the people,” Parris told Rivals. “Everyone there made me feel like a priority and made it feel like a place I could be at for the next three to four years.”

A former Iowa State commit, Parris chooses to play for head coach Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes over Oregon and Oklahoma among others.

“It excites me because I think I will fit very well into their offense and add to their explosiveness that is already present.”

Parris spoke highly of Miami heading into his trip.

“The coaching staff there is really good. They seem very genuine and care not just about the player but the person and that can only lead to greatness.”

Kevin Beard was the lead recruiter in landing the 6-foot-4.5, 205-pound Parris.

“The coaches are constantly showing love so that’s great,” Parris said coming into the trip.

“They were one of the first schools to recruit me. Coach Beard was on me and as I progressed as a player they offered and stayed harder on me. We’ve been talking a lot.

Parris is commit No. 24 for Miami in the 2026 cycle. Rivals previously ranked the class No. 12 nationally.

Tabbed as the nation’s No. 23 receiver and No. 191 prospect overall, Parris is the prototype outside receiver that has big-time potential with his large frame and terrific vertical ability (laser 4.5 40), plus he’s a tenacious blocking that mirrors the standard of the Miami program.

In eight games as a senior Parris has 38 receptions for 1,046 yards and 12 touchdowns heading into the state playoffs. Miami has been looking for a player with this size, speed combination and Parris also checks all the boxes from an intangibles standpoint.

Receiver was a position of emphasis this cycle and Miami no questions feels good about who they land. For more on that read here.
