There’s no shortage of blue-chip wide receiver prospects in the 2026 cycle, but there is a shortage of those prospects that remain uncommitted this summer.

Of the 61 four and five-star receivers — per the Rivals Industry Ranking — in the cycle, just eight are still on the board, as of July 8. That means some programs have already put together some impressive classes at the position before football season even gets underway.

Twelve schools currently have multiple blue-chip receiver commits this cycle. Below is a look at some of the top WR classes across the nation thus far:

LSU

5-star Tristen Keys (No. 5 NATL., No. 1 WR)
4-star Jabari Mack (No. 60 NATL., No. 8 WR)
4-star Kenny Darby (No. 153 NATL., No. 21 WR)

In-state success if often plentiful for LSU and that led it to pledges from Mack and Darby. The latter has been in the mix since November and has since reaffirmed his commitment, despite a hefty push from Alabama. Mack has continued to see his stock rise ahead of his senior campaign and is one of six top-100 prospects in the LSU class to date.

Head coach Brian Kelly and the Tigers picked up their first big out-of-state win in March via Keys, who’s decision came out of the blue. Considered by many as the de facto No. 1 receiver in the cycle, the Hattiesburg, Miss. superstar has continued to feel out other programs like Miami, Ole Miss and Texas A&M, but he continues to headline the LSU pledge list coming out of official visits. Keys caught nearly 60 passes as a junior and turned those into over 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns. He’ll be a force in the Magnolia State once again this fall.

Other receiver classes may feature more names, but it’ll be hard to top this trio of pass-catchers in the mix for the Tigers moving forward.

Ohio State

5-star Chris Henry Jr. (No. 23 NATL., No. 3 WR)
4-star Kayden Dixon-Wyatt (No. 81 NATL., No. 11 WR)
4-star Jaeden Ricketts (No. 232 NATL., No. 38 WR)
Rivals 4-star Brock Boyd (No. 402 NATL., No. 62 WR)

The son of the late star NFL WR Chris Henry, Henry Jr. has been committed to the Buckeyes since July 28, 2023 and has since “shut down” his recruiting process following a big push from USC and Miami. He’s been considered a top five-star for some time and that status holds true as he enters his senior season at Mater Dei in Santa Ana, Calif.

Henry Jr. has since been flanked by a trio of blue-chippers, giving the Buckeyes an impressive haul at the position. Dixon-Wyatt is a teammate at Mater Dei, creating perhaps the best one-two WR punch in the nation at the high school level. He chose the Buckeyes over Oregon in May and remains a top-100 prospect.

Ricketts has been in the class since November and is the No. 10 player in Ohio. The Watkins Memorial standout is a quintessential in-state recruiting win for Brian Hartline and the OSU staff. In April, Boyd flipped to the Big Ten program from TCU. Rivals ranks the 6-foot-1, 180-pounder as a top-250 recruit and a top-40 wideout.

USC

4-star Boobie Feaster (No. 45 NATL., No. 5 WR)
4-star Trent Mosley (No. 201 NATL., No. 31 WR)
4-star Luc Weaver (No. 290 NATL., No. 49 WR)
4-star Roderick Tezeno (No. 344 NATL., No. 52 WR)
3-star Ja’Myron Baker (No. 510 NATL., No. 78 WR)

Head coach Lincoln Riley and his staff already have a whopping 31 commitments, compiling a class that currently ranks No. 1 in the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Feaster is the latest big-time win for the Trojans following his pledge on the Fourth of July.

The DeSoto (Texas) product reclassified up a cycle and immediately became one of the top prospects in the cycle. He’s surrounded by three in-state pass-catchers and a top receiver out of The Boot. Mosley joined the fold in March and is a top-25 player in the Golden State.

Tezeno and Weaver each pledged within four days of each other at the end of April and beginning of May. Both rank higher in the Rivals300. Baker is one of the longest-tenured commits in the class, as he pledged in September of 2023. The Trojans are loaded across the board, but the receiver room is particularly deep.
