Insider Buzz: 3 Names to Know in the 2026 Class After Summer Visits

Texas A&M continues to push early in the 2026 cycle, and three names have quickly emerged as major priorities after summer visits. Here’s the latest buzz from inside the Bright Complex:

Texas A&M is still swinging hard at LSU wide receiver commit Tristen Keys, who made an official visit to College Station back on June 6th. That trip left a strong impression, and since then, the Aggies have kept consistent pressure on the five-star target.
While he remains committed to LSU, Keys is one of the top offensive names on A&M’s board, and the staff is doing everything possible to stay in the race heading into the fall.

A decision is coming soon for Mississippi safety Tylan Wilson, and A&M is in a strong position heading into his July 18, commitment date. The Aggies currently lead in the On3 RPM and have made Wilson a top priority this summer.
He’s been heavily recruited by Jay Bateman and is seen as one of the most instinctual and physical safeties in the region. A&M will look to close the deal in the coming days.

Another Mississippi standout, wide receiver Jase Matthews, is in the middle of a heated SEC battle. Texas A&M, LSU, Auburn, and Ole Miss are all in the mix, but right now it’s shaping up to be a two-team race between the Aggies and Tigers.
A&M has been consistent in its pursuit and is working hard to secure more visits this fall. This one could go the distance, but the Aggies are very much in it.
