2024 First Base Rankings: May

Each month of the Division I season, we’ll update our position power rankings to track the best players at each position. Our power rankings are determined by offensive and defensive statistics, the eye test on the field, strength of schedule and the player’s value to their team’s success.
Madisyn Kennedy and the Mississippi State offense have slowed down lately but Kennedy’s overall numbers still put her atop the first base rankings. Charlotte’s Arianna Rodi and Arkansas’ Bri Ellis continue to be mainstays at the top as well.
Due to position changes and players finding their stride, there are five new players to the rankings. Arizona’s Carlie Scupin is back on the list, while ECU’s Morgan Johnson, Virginia Tech’s Michelle Chatfield, Nevada’s Taryn Jenkins and GCU’s Ashley Trierweiler make an appearance.
