2025 Preview: Kansas
The Jayhawks had one of their best seasons in recent memory last year. Kansas even rose into the Softball America Top 25 and appeared poised to break its postseason drought. The stars didn't align for the Jayhawks, who struggled down the stretch. Despite knowing her team likely wasn't going to be selected for the NCAA Tournament, Jennifer McFalls still had her team watch the selection show. She thought it was still good to understand how close they were to making the postseason for the first time since 2015. "We talk about it every day," McFalls said. "They left and they were frustrated because we were so close. We made significant strides last year. I was really, really proud of the way we competed all year long, we just fell short at the end...These returners want it so much more and their goal is to get to the postseason."
