2025 Preview: LSU

Softball America continues its 2025 previews with LSU. The Tigers were one game away from Oklahoma City last season. After LSU graduated most of its lineup, Beth Torina ushers a new chapter for her program. The Tigers have faith in newcomers to make an impact, but there are plenty of returners stepping into bigger roles. "There's a lot of change here," Torina said. "It's in all areas. In our staff, our roster, in everything we are doing. There's a new feel. We are hanging onto the cool things that make us LSU. (Hitting coach) Bryce (Neal) has pushed the envelope with the offensive things, it's a new culture in there. We got Taylor Pleasants helping with the infield an different conversations with her. Ciara Briggs is helping with the outfield. "They're having conversations with people that recently played. It's cool to have that perspective. It makes it exciting and buying into what is in front of us."
