2025 Preview: Oklahoma

Patty Gasso said she was excited to get back to her favorite part of her job after winning a record-setting fourth straight national championship with what many believe to be the greatest class collegiate softball has ever seen. As great as the titles are, Gasso loves to teach and watch her team grow. Oklahoma has a bunch of new faces that have allowed the Sooners head coach to do just that. "It's time for me to get back to teaching again, which is my favorite part of coaching," she said. "I love watching athletes get that 'aha moment' that changes everything. That's what I strive for, it's what excites me. The last couple of years I sat back because they were teaching everyone. This has been fun, it's gone very quickly but I've been very pleased with the process and working with these young ones."
