2025 Preview: Purdue

Purdue has not had a winning season since 2019. The Boilermakers haven't been to the NCAA Tournament since 2009. Yet, there is a real belief inside the program that Magali Frezzotti is building toward those goals heading into her second season as head coach. It won't happen overnight but her team understands that. "What's been important for us is that we show up every day and we close the gap," Frezzotti said. "We know where we are at and where we want to go. Between us and the No. 1 team in the country, what are the stepping stones we want to close the gap on and the reminder of what we are trying to do at practice each day. That's our North Star to put Purdue softball in a position where people are talking about at a championship level."
