Atlanta Legacy Notebook
The final tune-up weekend before the national tournaments sizzled on the thermometers, and on the field. Softball America was on hand in “Hotlanta” to cover the Atlanta Legacy tournament. As the heat and humidity took over the greater metro area, the athletes looked to be in prime form as their teams competed for the $10,000 prize.
Hats off to the entire Atlanta Legacy tournament staff as they had tents behind home plate at each field for college coaches and a plentiful hospitality tent as well as providing much-needed shelter without leaving the park.
The tournament was broken into multiple age group brackets with select brackets agreeing to forgo the championship game due to travel restraints.

Weekend Notable Performances:
The Mojo- Lewis middle infield duo of Halle Bailey (2026) and Kensi Arringdale (2026) are incredibly fun to watch. They have good feet, instincts to the ball, quick transitions, and great glove skills. Bailey primarily hit in the leadoff spot and is equally as impressive at the plate. Hitting right behind Bailey was Milan Torres (2026). Bailey hit .562 with six RBI and Torres hit .600 with six RBI of her own. Torres is a true triple threat and was the 4A Defensive Player of the Year from Buford, GA.
Avary Stockwell (2026) catcher for the Mojo-Lewis continued swinging a big bat and looks to anchor the lineup as they head into the national tournament.

Aspen Boulware (2027) and Kynlee Swain (2026) solidify the left side of the infield for Rocky Thompson’s Birmingham Thunderbolts. Swain (coming off a hot showing in Colorado) showed the ability to make two-handed plays on the run and quick reactions on the hot corner. Swain hit 6 HR in Colorado and boasted a perfect 8-8 in stolen bases to add to her total.
Piper Cavanaugh (2026) and Boo Herber (2026) showed why they are a powerful 1A and 1B punch on the mound for Rocky’s squad. Herber had nice movement and the ability to slide her curve off the plate to right-handed batters. Cavanaugh is a solid two-way player and can help any lineup in multiple ways.
Dana Fusetti’s Carolina Elite outfield continues to make game-saving plays. On Sunday morning, it was Jordan Dry’s (2026) turn as she laid out in left field to save extra bases and was 1-3 at the dish.
Stacy Tamborra’s squad made a deep run in the tourney and her top of the lineup looks strong. Dawson Blue (2026), Alexis Evans (2026), Leah Byrd (2026) and Aubrey Moore (2026) look to lead the offense into next week’s national tournament. They have speed, power, and game IQ that forces opposing defenses into hurried decisions.
Kynzee Anderson (2026) is the ace of a very athletic D1Vision squad and is drawing a lot of attention from schools around the country. She has velocity, movement, and is bulldog on the mound. Jayda Young (2026) was impressive at the plate all weekend as she can run and hit for power, constantly finding her way on the bases.
Abreya Perry (2026) can absolutely fly. Perry is playing up on Ryan Taylor’s 18u Aces squad and went 3-4 against a loaded 18u Birmingham Thunderbolts team. She can open up and run with elite home to first speed. This team is oozing with talent with stars like Lexi McDaniel (2025 Oklahoma commit), Allyssa Parker (2025 Oklahoma commit), andSid Forrester (2025 Missouri commit).
