Former UCLA two-way Kaitlyn Terry joins Texas Tech

Texas Tech continues to build around NiJaree Canady for her senior year. After landing All-Americans Jazzy Burns earlier in the off-season and Mia Williams earlier on Wednesday, former UCLA left-handed pitcher Kaitlyn Terry has committed to the Red Raiders.
Terry, a rising junior, has a career 41-8 record with a 2.50 ERA in 330.1 innings the past two seasons. This addition allows Texas Tech to have a reliable arm behind Canady and take a load off the former Player of the Year. She also played right field for the Bruins at times this season, registering 136 at-bats with a .257 batting average with seven doubles, two homers and 24 RBIs. It could be a similar situation to Canady, where we see Terry have more of an offensive role as well.
