Gillispie has been at the helm of Iowa softball since June 8, 2018 and led the Hawkeyes to a 35-27, and 10-13 in Big Ten play in 2023. Their 35 wins is the most in a season since 2009.
The department expressed its full support for Gillispie during this time and confidence in Levin’s leadership as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
