Team Lorenz Sweeps Series 4, Amanda Lorenz stays atop the leaderboard
Team Lorenz finished off Series Four of the AU Softball Season Five with another dominant effort. Meanwhile, Lexi Kilfoyl showed out again to keep her captain spot heading into the final weekend.
Team Kilfoyl 5, Team Faraimo 0
Kilfoyl tossed a complete game shutout once again. She kept Team Faraimo’s offense in check with her heavy drop ball. Kilfoyl surrendered three hits without a walk as she faced little opposition on Sunday. She retired 12 straight batters at one point before Sis Bates singles in the sixth.
Her offense quickly gave her support. Bubba Nickles, who earned 40-MVP points, hit a two-run homer in the first inning against her former collegiate teammate Rachel Garcia. Baylee Klingler broke things open in the fifth with a bases-clearing double that landed her three RBIs and top MVP honors.
Team Lorenz 6, Team Palacios 1
Lorenz extended her lead heading into the final weekend of the season. She went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a home run in the win against the red-hot Team Palacios. Lorenz matched her season-high with 220 leaderboard points while claiming MVP 1 of the game.

Sandercock tossed the first three innings before giving way to Corrick in the fourth and reentering in the seventh. The former Florida State hurler earned 40-MVP points after allowing one run on two hits in four innings.
