Ehren Earleywine made his return to college softball in 2025, helping Ole Miss reach its first Women’s College World Series this past season. He is now reportedly joining the Women’s College World Series champions. Earleywine is set to take over the vacancy on the Texas staff after Steve Singleton took the Cal head coaching job.

Earleywine will likely assist with leading the offense and recruiting, much like Singleton did and as he did with Ole Miss. He was previously the head coach at Missouri, where he was dismissed following an investigation in 2018, and Georgia Tech before his stop in Oxford. However, with September 1st quickly on the horizon, Earleywine will have a major piece in Texas’ plan for 2027 recruits.

Earleywine’s hire was first reported by 13KRCG in Missouri.
