Standout Big Ten outfielder Melina Wilkison commits to Oklahoma State

Kenny Gajewski has his first major transfer portal addition of the off-season. Former Ohio State and Indiana outfielder Melina Wilkison is set to join Oklahoma State for her final season.
Wilkison spent last season at Indiana, where she played center field for the Hooisers and can step in for the graduated Megan Delgadillo. She hit .326 with 11 doubles, seven triples, seven home runs, 41 RBIs and 22 stolen bases.

She was also coming off a major injury that took her out for most of the 2024 season, her last at Ohio State. Prior to that, she had a breakout year in 2023, earning First Team All-Big Ten. Led the Buckeyes in batting average (.373), RBI (44), runs scored (50), hits (66), home runs (11), slugging percentage (.718), on-base percentage (.439) and stolen bases (13).
Her bat should help the Cowgirls and hopefully supply Ruby Meylan with more run support.
