What is your favorite travel ball memory?

Out of every memory that I have been so fortunate to make through my travel ball journey, my favorite is the semifinal game in PGF’s Show Me The Money in June of 2024. The energy was so high and the game was back and forth the entire time. We were playing under the lights and it was completely electric. When I was looking to move teams (end of summer 2023) my goal was to play on “the big fields” and that is exactly what I got to do. We were rallying and screaming “let’s go” after every play. We ended up winning in the last inning and getting the chance to play the championship game at The University of Florida.

What’s the most important thing you’ve learned from a coach?

The most important thing that I have learned from a coach is the act of “throwing the dirt.” The act of picking up dirt and throwing it behind me is something that has truly helped me in becoming the player I am today. Coach Ness, who made a huge impact on me, taught me the importance of failure recovery around the age of 12 and it has stuck with me. The physical act of throwing dirt allows me to put whatever happened behind me and move on. Additionally, Coach Chandler taught me and helped me to become a “mental giant.” These two coaches made such a huge impact on me and have helped make me into who I am today.

How did you get interested in softball?

My Aunt Kami Keiter (McBroom) pitched at the University of Oklahoma, my uncle pitched for the Wichita Wingnuts, my dad played football for Wyoming, and my Papa played football for the Bears. With lots of athletic influence in my life, softball has the biggest interest for me. My dad coached me from T-ball to 14U and my aunt helped out along the way. They both had the biggest influences on me and interested me in the game of softball. When we would go over to my nonna and papa’s house, we would watch my aunt’s clips from high school and college on their VCR and I loved analyzing her games. Softball has always just been a big part of my family and I was lucky enough to have my dad and aunt to be there with me while I fell in love with the game.

What are your strengths as a player? What are you trying to improve on the most?

My strengths as a player is my energy and passion and that I am a five-tool player. I am working to improve on my consistent power at the plate.

What player(s) do you look up to the most?

I look up to Sis Bates the most because of the way she plays the game. She constantly has a smile on her face and shows how much she loves the game through her play. I love watching her break down plays and seeing how smart she is.

What are your favorite hobbies outside of softball?

I love to draw, paint, spend time with friends and family outside, traveling, and going to other sporting events. I love going to high school football, basketball, and volleyball games.

What excites you the most about playing college softball?

I am most excited to play at Rhoads. Having the opportunity to be a part of the atmosphere there is a dream and a blessing. The energy and intensity there is unlike anything that I have ever seen before. It’s something that I have regularly dreamed about since I first stepped onto that field.
