Zerkle walk-off, Team Lorenz's shutout highlight the day
Team Palacios kept rolling behind Morgan Zerkle’s big day at the plate. While Amanda Lorenz stayed atop the leaderboard behind another excellent pitching performance from her team.
Team Palacios 3, Team Faraimo 2
Morgan Zerkle was the thorn in the side of Megan Faraimo. Zerkle poked the game-winning single in the eighth to capture the win for Team Palacios. Zerkle, the game’s top MVP, also had a two-out RBI triple back in the second.
Tori Vidales ripped an RBI single against Faraimo back in the first. That was all the offense that Faraimo allowed. She went to distance only allowing five hits overall, three coming from Zerkle and Vidales.
Taylor McQuillin picked up the win for Team Palacios throwing two no-out innings to finish the game including a perfect go in the eighth inning with a runner at second.
Team Lorenz 6, Team Kilfoyl 0
Aleshia Ocasio led Team Lorenz shutout on Saturday. The Florida alum and Lorenz’s former teammate kept her in the top spot with another gem. Ocasio’s five-inning outing limited Team Kilfoyl to four hits and she struck out two. Ocasio also rose to the third spot in the leaderboard with four games to play.

Similar to Friday, Kat Sandercock helped secure the shutout with two hitless innings. Sandercock seta new Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball single-season record with her fourth save of the campaign.
Lorenz collected two hits as her team pushed six runs across. Lorenz has hit safely in nine of her last 10 games after going 2-for-4 with a pair of singles on Saturday. Outfielder Erika Piancastelli received MVP 2 accolades after going 1-for-2 with a two-run double and a sacrifice fly. Infielder Sydney Romero completed the MVP sweep by earning MVP 2 status with 170 leaderboard points after going 2-for-4 with an RBI double in the fifth inning.
This sets up a huge contest between Team Lorenz and Team Palacios, where a win for Team Lorenz could also put Ocasio or Georgina Corrick into the second spot on the leaderboard.
