2025 NFL Draft: Dallas Cowboys select Alabama OL Tyler Booker

Alabama junior offensive lineman Tyler Booker was selected with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night. Booker, who was in Green Bay for the event, was the first Crimson Tide player and fourth offensive lineman off the board.
Booker’s selection extends Alabama’s streak of consecutive years with a first-round selection to 17 in a row. He is the 48th first-round selection coached by Nick Saban at Alabama and also the first draft pick of Kalen DeBoer’s tenure as the Crimson Tide’s head football coach.
A two-year starter at offensive guard, Booker was the Crimson Tide’s top offensive lineman and one of the team’s top leaders. He played in and started all 13 of Alabama’s games during the 2024 season and was recognized as the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week three times as a junior (Missouri, LSU and Auburn). After the 2024 regular season, Booker was selected as a second-team All-American by all five outlets that chose consensus honors.

Booker played in 38 career games over the last three seasons, including 27 starts. He started the last 27 games he’s played in, dating back to the Sugar Bowl to cap his freshman campaign, missing only last year’s South Florida contest due to back spasms. As a true freshman, Booker rotated in at both guard spots before taking over at left guard in the postseason.
One of the top interior line prospects in the 2025 class, Booker was a 5-star prospect coming out of New Haven, Connecticut in 2022. According to the On3 Industry Rankings, the IMG Academy product was the nation’s No. 30 overall recruit and the No. 3 offensive tackle. He ultimately committed to the Crimson Tide over Florida, Georgia and Ohio State.
