Alabama basketball drops in newest AP Poll
Alabama basketball picked up a ranked win last week over then-No. 25 Illinois, but the Crimson Tide fell one spot from No. 8 to No. 9 in this week’s AP Poll.
The Crimson Tide sits at 4-1 on the season heading into the Players Era Festival in Las Vegas this week, where it will face No. 6 Houston on Tuesday, followed by games against Rutgers on Wednesday and a to-be-determined opponent on Saturday.

The non-conference late Nate Oats put together still includes games against No. 12 North Carolina and No. 21 Creighton coming after this week.
Alabama is the fourth highest ranked SEC team in this week’s poll, behind No. 4 Auburn. No. 7 Tennessee and No. 8 Kentucky while ahead of No. 18 Florida, No. 19 Ole Miss, No. 20 Texas A&M, and No. 25 Mississippi State.
The Tide’s next game against Houston will tip off at 7 p.m. CT and air on TBS.
