Alabama junior forward Mohamed Wague has entered his name into the the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. This news makes him the sixth Crimson Tide player to transfer following a 2023-24 season that included a Final Four appearance for Nate Oats and company.

Last July, Wague transferred from West Virginia following the news that former Alabama big Charles Bediako would be entering the NBA draft. Many thought the addition of Wague would at least alleviate some of the rim protection lost, but the 6-foot-10, 225-pound forward only saw 8.5 minutes of action per game while playing in 33 total contests (eight starts).

Wague averaged just 3.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.5 blocks.

His best game in an Alabama uniform came against Arkansas State in December when he posted a career-high 12 points to go with seven rebounds, three blocks and four steals, all of which were either career-highs or tied his previous career-high. He also scored 11 points against Purdue, who recently played UConn in the national title game.
