TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Alabama basketball team has lost another one of its players to the transfer portal. Less than a week after seeing combo guard Nimari Burnett enter and eventually choose Michigan as his next destination, former top-30 recruit Jaden Bradley is now the second Crimson Tide player to look to continue his playing career elsewhere.

The news of his departure was first broken on Twitter by Verbal Commits.

Bradley is a former four-star recruit (No. 28 overall in the On3 Consenus rankings) from the 2022 recruiting class. He spent one season at Alabama, appearing in all 37 games while averaging 6.4 points and 3.1 assists. The IMG Academy product had been a big part of the team’s plans early in the season, but his production had trailed off some down the stretch.

Someone is going to get a good player. Bradley is already a capable defender, but there’s also some untapped potential on the offensive end of the court. There had been some belief that a larger role was awaiting him in 2023-24 with the expected departure of Jahvon Quinerly, but there’s still the possibility that Quinerly could return.

Bradley is now the eighth Alabama player to leave, whether that be through graduation, the transfer portal or the NBA draft. Here are the others:

It’s still possible for guys such as Quinerly and Bediako to return. Plus, there’s no guarantee that Bradley actually ends up leaving, but right now, Alabama fans should be expecting significant roster turnover for a second-straight offseason under coach Nate Oats.
