Alabama guard Mark Sears was recognized as a first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection, as the league office announced the 2024 men’s basketball awards on Monday.

Sears becomes the fifth Crimson Tide player in the last five years to be named First Team All-SEC under head coach Nate Oats. In his second year at Alabama, Sears has earned back-to-back All-SEC selections, as he earned second-team All-SEC honors last season.

First- and second-team All-SEC honorees, All-Freshman Team, All-Defensive Team, as well as awards such as Player, Coach and Freshman, Defensive, Sixth-Man and Scholar-Athlete of the Year were chosen by the league’s 14 head coaches. Ties were not broken.
