LOS ANGELES – No. 4-seed Alabama (24-11) will face 6-seed Clemson (24-11) in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament tonight. The game will start at 7:49 p.m. CT on TBS/truTV.

The Crimson Tide advanced to the program’s second Elite Eight following its win over No. 1-seed North Carolina in the Sweet 16. Prior to that, Alabama advanced it to the West Region semifinal thanks to a 109-96 victory over No. 13-seed College of Charleston in the opening round, followed by a 72-61 win against No. 12-seed Grand Canyon in the Round of 32.

In five years as the head coach of the Crimson Tide, Nate Oats has an overall record of 7-3 in NCAA Tournament games, which includes a trio of Sweet 16 appearances (2021, 2023, 2024) and now the school’s second-ever Elite Eight — and the first since the 2003-04 season.

— Latrell Wrighstell Jr. (head injury) is out for the Elite Eight matchup vs. Clemson, per a UA spokesperson.

— Officials for Alabama-Clemson: Keith Kimble, James Breeding and Brian Dorsey.

— Alabama starters vs. Clemson: Mark Sears, Aaron Estrada, Rylan Griffen, Grant Nelson and Nick Pringle.

— A couple notable names behind the Alabama bench: Robert Horry and horse trainer Bob Baffert.

FIRST HALF

— Grant Nelson picks up his second foul with 16:21 left in the first half. After the FTs, Clemson leads 8-6.

— Clemson 8, Alabama 6 (15:42) | Aaron Estrada just pulled down a pair of offensive rebounds before Nick Pringle was fouled. UA has an early 6-3 edge on the glass.

— Clemson 14, Alabama 11 (11:48) | UA has been strong on the glass, with a 13-8 early edge, but the Tide is shooting 25% (4-16) from the field and 13% (1-8) on 3-pointers.

— Rylan Griffen stays down after fouling Chase Hunter and looks to be favoring his right leg. He’s up and wants to stay in the game, but Sam Walters will replace him.

— Clemson 26, Alabama 18 (6:05) | Jarin Stevenson ends a streak of nine missed 3s for the Tide. UA is now 2-14 from 3, 3-11 on layups.

— Rylan Griffen has a lower-extremity injury and is probable to return to the game, per a UA spokesperson.

— Clemson 28, Alabama 26 (3:51) | Jarin Stevenson is having a game so far. He leads all scorers with 10 points and is responsible for two of the Tide’s four 3-pointers thus far.

SECOND HALF

— Alabama 46, Clemson 43 (15:54) | Grant Nelson picks up foul No. 3, which will send PJ Hall to the line after the under-16 timeout. Hall has 4 of his 8 points in the 2H.

— Alabama 55, Clemson 51 (11:24) | Jarin Stevenson continues to hit key shots. But that Aaron Estrada turnover was UA’s 4th of the half.

— Grant Nelson picks up his fourth foul with 10:22 left to play. He will take a sit with Pringle coming in.

— Alabama 58, Clemson 53 (7:59) | PJ Hall picks up his fourth foul and Nick Pringle will go to the line after the under-8 media timeout.

— Alabama 68, Clemson 59 (6:12) | It’s raining 3s in Crypto Arena. UA hits four straight triples. Mark Sears was responsible for two of those and walked back to the Tide huddle holding up four fingers. Timeout, Clemson.

— Alabama 79, Clemson 73 (1:43) | Nick Pringle with an and-1 to give him 16 points. He’s 8-13 from the line and has a double-double with 11 rebounds. Timeout, Tigers.
