TUSCALOOSA, Ala.  Alabama (11-5, 3-0 SEC) will host Missouri (8-8, 0-3) tonight at Coleman Coliseum. The conference home game will tip off at 6 p.m. CT on the SEC Network.

Alabama is riding a 5-game win streak entering the contest, including three consecutive SEC wins, thanks in large part to the Crimson Tide’s backcourt. Over the last five games, the UA guards are scoring 57 of Alabama’s 89 points per game average, led by Mark Sears (20.2 ppg), Rylan Griffen (13.4 ppg), Latrell Wrightsell Jr. (12.2 ppg) and Aaron Estrada (11.2 ppg).

FIRST HALF

SECOND HALF

— Grant Nelson just picked up a technical foul with 13:50 to play. After the pair of free throws, Alabama leads Missouri, 48-47.

Alabama 68, Mizzou 58 (6:19) | Rylan Griffen knocks down his third 3 of the game to give the Tide a 10-point lead, force the Tigers to call their final timeout of the game.

Alabama 80, Mizzou 67 (3:18) | Rylan Griffen drains back-to-back 3s, is now 5-7 from deep and leads the Crimson Tide with 19 points.

POSTGAME

— Missouri head coach Dennis Gates said Nate Oats apologized after the game for pushing a UM player. Gates asked what would have happened if it had been players in that situation and believes Oats should have earned a technical.

— Nate Oats opens his postgame press conference by addressing the “scuffle” with a Mizzou player. “I have all the respect in the world for the job (Dennis Gates) has done. … No disrespect to him or his program. I apologized to both Coach Gates and Aiden Shaw.”

— Oats: “I thought, for the weather out there tonight, our home crowd was unbelievable. I want to thank the students publicly. We had almost 3,000 students in there.”

— Oats said Mark Sears tweaked his ankle in his first half and fought through it before keeping him out for rest and make sure he’s “ready to go” Saturday at Tennessee.

— Oats on Rylan Griffen’s second half (16 points, 4-5 from 3): “That shooting barrage was probably the best shooting barrage I’ve seen from anyone on our team this year.”
