Alabama Basketball Superlatives: MVPs, breakout players and realistic expectations for 2024-25
The Alabama men’s basketball team will tip off the 2024-25 season in just three days, starting one of the most anticipated campaigns in Crimson Tide hoops history. Fresh off the program’s first-ever Final Four, Nate Oats has a loaded roster primed for another run.
Alabama welcomed back five players from last year’s Final Four squad, including preseason SEC Player of the Year Mark Sears and returning starters Grant Nelson and Latrell Wrightsell. The Crimson Tide also added four transfers set to make an impact and four true freshmen, who made up the nation’s No. 3 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
