Alabama basketball to play in charity exhibition at Wake Forest
The Alabama men’s basketball team will travel to play Wake Forest in a charity exhibition game prior to the start of the 2023-24 season, the Demon Deacons announced on Tuesday.
The exhibition game will take place on Sunday, Oct. 29, at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, N.C. Admission is free, but fans are encouraged to donate to help stroke research at the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Stroke Center.
“We are excited and honored to partner with Wake Forest for this meaningful event,” said Alabama head coach Nate Oats in a release. “To be able to play an exhibition game and help people in need is a great opportunity that goes beyond basketball. At the same time, it will also give us an opportunity to test ourselves against a quality program in Wake Forest.”
