Alabama beats LSU 106-66 to remain undefeated in conference play
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama’s men’s basketball team is continuing their dominance on the hardwood.
On Saturday, the Crimson Tide defeated LSU 106-66 to remain undefeated in conference play (5-0). It marks Bama’s fourth-straight victory by at least 15 points, and their seventh win this season by 20 or more points.
Alabama’s contest against LSU at Coleman Coliseum was not close from the start.
Star freshman Brandon Miller kicked things off with a three-pointer 13 seconds into the game. Behind a stellar performance by Miller, the Crimson Tide never trailed the rest of the way. Miller finished with 31 points on 11-of-16 shooting (68.8 percent) and 7-of-11 shooting from beyond the arc while adding nine rebounds.
It is Miller’s second game with over 30 points this season, the other being his 36-point performance against Gonzaga on December 17.
Interestingly enough, no other player for Alabama scored more than 12 points in their 40-point blowout.
Ohio transfer Mark Sears, senior Jahvon Quinerly, and true freshman Rylan Griffen each chipped in 12 points. Nick Pringle knocked down all three of his shots to add 10 points of his own, while Noah Gurley connected on a couple of three-pointers to finish with 8 points.

Alabama shot 46.1 percent from the field and 37 percent on their three-point attempts, while also knocking down 16 of their 20 free throws. Meanwhile, LSU only shot 29.5 percent overall, though they did connect on eight of 21 three-point attempts (38.1 percent); no player for the Tigers scored more than 10 points against the Tide.
With another conference win under their belt, Nate Oats’ program will be on the road for their next two matchups. Bama will head to Vanderbilt on Tuesday and then Missouri on Saturday. Alabama’s next home game will be versus Mississippi State on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 8:00 p.m. Central.
