Alabama cornerback Domani Jackson announced on Sunday that he will come back to Tuscaloosa for his senior year in 2025 rather than declaring for the NFL Draft, providing a huge boost to the Crimson Tide’s secondary.

“The season didn’t end how we wanted, and the job isn’t finished yet,” Jackson wrote in an Instagram post. “I will be returning in the 2025 season to make my last one my best one.”

A junior this past season, Jackson was a 5-star recruit in the 2022 class and played his first two seasons of college football at USC. He then transferred to Alabama, where he spent this past season as the top cornerback on the Alabama roster.

Jackson started every game as Alabama’s No. 1 corner, totaling 47 tackles, two interceptions and seven passes defended on the season. The majority of draft services grade Jackson as a day two pick in the draft, but he will have another season to raise his draft stock.

Aside from Jackson, Alabama has depth returning at the cornerback spot. Rising sophomore Zabien Brown is a returning starter and fellow rising sophomore Jaylen Mbakwe saw plenty of snaps as a rotation piece this past year. Alabama also brought in Cam Calhoun, a transfer from Utah, providing even more depth on the outside.
