Alabama center Parker Brailsford set to return for 2025 season

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama will welcome back a big offensive line piece in 2025.
Starting center Parker Brailsford announced on Thursday that he will return for a second season with the Crimson Tide. Brailsford revealed his decision after Alabama’s bowl game practice.
“I’ll be coming back,” Brailsford said. “Just talked to my family, talked to my people that give me good advice on what they think and things going on. I talked to some people around the building to see what they had to say, and I think the overall consensus is I should come back.”
A transfer from Washington, Brailsford followed head coach Kalen DeBoer to Tuscaloosa and assumed the Crimson Tide’s starting center position. Brailsford has started all 12 of Alabama’s regular-season games entering the ReliaQuest Bowl against Michigan and has not given up a sack in 351 snaps in pass protection, according to Pro Football Focus.
The Tide starter is considered the fourth-best center in the 2025 NFL Draft field, according to ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. updated rankings, which were published prior to Brailsford’s decision.

“I’m not focused on that,” said Brailsford of his draft projections.
Alabama is expected to lose starting left guard Tyler Booker, who is believed to be one of the best offensive line prospects, this offseason. But the majority of the Crimson Tide’s starting five up front could return next season with Brailsford anchoring the offensive line unit.
“I think we’re gonna be a real good group,” Brailsford said. “I think we’ve had time to really grow, and even a lot of the younger guys, I’ve seen them getting better every single day. I think they’re gonna push the older guys, and it’s gonna be a battle every single day. So that’s really what’s gonna push us.
“Even the whole team, I feel like as a team we’re getting closer. We have a lot of guys that … if they do decide to come back, I think we’ll have a real tight unit. Also just another year in the playbook, too, will just be good for everybody. Everybody knows what’s going on, what to expect.”
