Alabama commitment ranks No. 3 overall in initial On300
The initial 2025 On300 player rankings released on Monday morning. This is an early list of the top rising juniors in the country. Alabama commitment Ryan Williams is officially a five-star recruit. Williams, who is also the reigning Alabama Mr. Football, is the No. 3 overall player according to On3 Sports and No. 1 wide receiver.
2025 On300: Latest recruiting intel on the top rising juniors
On3 Sports National Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power shares his thoughts on Williams, and the early high ranking for the top player in the state.
“There is not a current skill prospect who is more athletic and productive than wide receiver Ryan Williams (No. 3),” Power said. “The Alabama commit was absolutely dominant as a sophomore while leading his Saraland (Ala.) High team to a state title. Williams’ 2022 stat-line was absurd for any player, let along a sophomore. He caught 88 passes for 1,641 yards and 24 touchdowns, ran for 700 yards and 15 touchdowns on 57 rushes (12.3 yards per carry), returned two punts for touchdowns and passed for a score.
Williams is not just dominant on Friday nights – he was the On3 MVP at Under Armour’s Atlanta camp last month after a stellar showing where he scored around 10 touchdowns in 1-on-1’s and posted the fasted 40-yard dash on hand (electronic 4.41). He’s also a track star and has a shot at winning state in four events. So far in 2023, Williams has posted a scintillating 10.49 second mark in the 100 meters along with 21.28 seconds in the 200 meters, a 48.19 400 meter mark and a 6-8 high jump.
At 6-foot, 160-pounds, Williams will need to continue adding mass and strength to his frame, but there are few if any who can rival his resume as a football player and verfied athlete to this point. He committed to Alabama on October 8, 2022.”
Williams recently took an unofficial visit to Auburn, and plans on returning for the Tigers spring game. The Auburn legacy committed to Alabama during the fall, and continues to stick with his commitment to the Crimson Tide.

Another In-state target ranks in Top 4-overall
Na’eem Offord, five-star cornerback from Parker High School in Birmingham, has established himself as one of the premier recruits in the country. Offord received an offer from the Crimson Tide in January. Offord has also reeled in offers from several other schools including Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, Florida State, Miami, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, South Carolina, TCU and Tennessee.
Offord recently spoke with BamaInsider regarding his high interest in Alabama. When asked what first comes to mind to when he thinks of Alabama, Offord responded, “dominant.” Part of the reason why is that Nick Saban‘s secondary is filled with future NFL talent on a yearly basis.
“We obviously know he’s one of the best college football coaches in history,” Offord said of Saban. “He backs it up. He knows how to operate, he knows how this college stuff goes, and he sends folks to the league.”
(Charles) Power also weighed-in on why Offord ranks as an initial five-star recruit in the 2025 class.

“Naeem Offord (No. 4) emerged as On3’s top 2025 defensive back prospect over the course of the rankings process. For starters, he has plus size, length and athleticism. Offord is around 6-foot-1, 180 pounds with a 6-foot-7 wing-span. He was among the top athletes at Under Armour’s Atlanta camp, posting an outstanding 11’1″ broad jump (the best any event this year) and an electronically-timed 4.59 second 40-yard dash where he pulled up midway through.
“The physical gifts transfer over to the field, where Offord is a two-way playmaker for Birmingham (Ala.) Parker. He showcases ball skills and big-play ability as a wide receiver and overall offensive weapon. While Offord is not tested often at corner, he was very polished in defensive back drills for a rising junior and looked to be a loose, fluid mover. Alabama and Auburn are out in front according to his On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Two more WR targets inside Top 15-overall
Ryan Williams is the best receiver in the country. He isn’t the only elite player at his position highly coveted by the Crimson Tide. Caleb Cunningham, the No. 10 overall player per On3 Sports took an unofficial visit to Alabama on Friday. Cunningham received an offer from Coach Saban during the visit. He plans on returning to Tuscaloosa this summer.
Jamie Ffrench, No. 15 overall player from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida, attended Alabama’s Junior Day on March 4. It was Ffrench’s third visit with the Tide.
“The way Alabama operates… it speaks for itself talking with Coach Saban,” Ffrench told BamaInsider on what he likes about the program after the visit earlier this month. “Alabama is a really nice school. Really top-notch. They know what they’re doing. They’re going to develop you. They’re going to make sure you’re ready.
“It’s really family oriented. That matters to me in the recruiting process,” Ffrench added. “I really love it.”
Cunningham and Ffrench are in no rush to announce a decision.
“Cunningham is a big outside receiver who is a bouncy athlete and doubles as a gifted basketball player. Ffrench is a nimble technician who has impressed in multiple settings.”- Charles Power
