Alabama basketball now second highest ranked SEC team in AP, Coaches Polls
The Alabama men’s basketball team continues to climb in the rankings as the month of March quickly approaches. On Monday, the latest editions of the AP and Coaches Polls were revealed with the Crimson Tide checking in at No. 13 in each of them. That means UA is now the second highest ranked SEC team sitting behind only Tennessee, who checks in at No. 5.
Not only that, but there are now six SEC teams ranked in the top 25 of the AP Poll, which had Florida sitting at No. 24 on Monday. With Alabama set to play the Gators twice over the next couple of weeks, this means the final six games will include four top-25 opponents (Florida, at No. 17 Kentucky, Tennessee and at Florida). Mix in a tough road trip to Oxford to take on Ole Miss, and it’s a tough stretch leading up to the SEC Tournament.
