Well, Alabama (7-1, 5-0 SEC) is officially back in the top-10 in the latest AP Poll. After remaining at No. 8 in the Coaches Poll — which was released about an hour before — the Crimson Tide have now climbed up to No. 9 following their 34-20 victory over Tennessee (5-2, 2-2 SEC).

The Vols, on the other hand, only dropped four spots from No. 17 to No. 21. That certainly helps Alabama’s resume with No. 15 LSU (6-2, 4-1 SEC) also coming up following the bye week. The Tigers are fresh off a 62-0 win over Army only a week after handing Auburn a 48-18 beatdown. With that said, both of their losses have come away from Death Valley, which could play a factor with them coming to Tuscaloosa on Nov. 2.

Prior to Sunday, Alabama had been left out of the AP top 10 ever since its Week 2 loss to Texas. There have been some ugly moments for this team, but Saturday was easily the most complete half of football we’ve seen from them so far this year. Now, it’s about turning that progress into a complete 60 minutes worth.
