Alabama drops to No. 10 in latest Coaches Poll after Texas loss
The Alabama football team (1-1) has dropped to No. 10 in the latest edition of the Coaches Poll, which was released on Sunday following all the Week 2 games. The drop isn’t surprising after the Crimson Tide’s ugly 24-34 loss to Texas on Saturday night. The Longhorns, on the other hand, made a big climb in the latest rankings.
After sitting at No. 11 heading into the weekend, Steve Sarkisian’s squad now sits at No. 6. Texas A&M dropped out of the top-25 after losing by 15 points to Miami, but there are still five SEC teams remaining in the rankings. Those teams include Georgia (No. 1), Tennessee (No. 9), Alabama (No. 10), LSU (No. 14) and Ole Miss (No. 19).
