Alabama remains at No. 3 in latest Coaches Poll rankings after Week 1
The Alabama football team (1-0) remained at No. 3 in the latest edition of the USA TODAY Coaches Poll, which came out on Tuesday following the first week of college football games. The Crimson Tide defeated Middle Tennessee 56-7 in the season opener to start the year hot under head coach Nick Saban.
We also found out with the latest rankings that Alabama’s Week 2 opponent (Texas) are ranked No. 10 after beating Rice 37-10 in its season opener. Despite some early struggles for the Longhorns, Saturday’s showdown inside Bryant-Denny Stadium is expected to be one of the Crimson Tide’s toughest tests of the 2023 season.

We’ve already seen two top-10 teams goes down. Granted, one was guaranteed to happen with LSU playing Florida State in Week 1, but no one saw Duke upsetting Clemson coming. The SEC Tigers now sit at No. 14 while the ACC Tigers are at No. 21.
