No. 11 Alabama‘s Week 8 home matchup against No. 19 Tennessee (4-1, 1-1 SEC) coming up next Saturday, Oct. 21, will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT and will air on CBS, according to a schedule release from the Southeastern Conference on Monday.
This upcoming Saturday, UA (5-1, 3-0 SEC) will be hosting Arkansas, who’s struggling this season at 2-4 (0-3 SEC). Three of their four losses have been by seven points or fewer though, so I still wouldn’t call it an easy game for the Tide. Either way, Alabama will follow that matchup with a tough four-week stretch that will include games against the Vols, No. 22 LSU and at No. 24 Kentucky.
Sure, Tennessee dropped a 13-point road loss to Florida in The Swamp a few weeks ago, but they’re playing better as of late. This past Saturday, UT outscored South Carolina 41-20 with a stingy defense that scored a touchdown and sacked Spencer Rattler and company six times. In other words, this is still a capable squad that UA will play on the Third Saturday in October.
